A friend showed me this and it is AMAZING. There's also one of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, but I actually like this one the best. It's by the same people who do "Auto-Tune the News."
And here's the best episode of "Auto-Tune the News," in my opinion. The others are really funny but this one is my favorite.

Oh shit, you guys, Stealth Cat is pretty much the scariest thing ever. "We're being hunted..." said Robert Muldoon before being pwned by velociraptors... I was hella sick last night for a long time and I even threw up for the first time in a long time. It doesn't happen to me much and it was very uncool. And then afterwards the best/worst thing ever happened to me: I laid back down and couldn't breathe, so I went to blow my nose and I blew out... a red pepper. It was so gross but really really funny. I feel much better now. I can eat again! Yay! These things cheer me up: - I won a 200-page doujinshi anthology on ebay for 16 bucks last night. No big deal to you guys, but that is a awesome deal. Excited.
- I have an interview tomorrow at a school for a data clerk job! I so won't get it but I am excited anyway! It's on Merritt Island which would be quite a drive but I would also be making like $11 an hour if I got it (which I won't, lol, -- especially after they hear that I'd still want to put in a two-weeks notice at Staples -- but wish me luck anyhow).

God, I love Guild Wars. Every day I find some awesome new reference. Because I needed something to do while I work on my playlists (I just can't sit here and stare at itunes), I made a list of the ones I've come across on GuildWiki. - I did a quest the other day which included a ranger spouting Steve Irwin-esque quotes as well as "Ling Wong" the panda (Anchorman).
- Take a look at some of these weapon inscriptions:
- "I have the power!"
- "Knowing is Half the Battle"
- "Leaf on the Wind"
(Firefly)
- "Serenity now!" (Seinfeld)
- Galstaff the Light, an Ogre-Slaying Knife, and The Darkness, which, yes, you can attack (and if you push Ctrl while you do so, you will exclaim "I'm attacking The Darkness!").
- All of these: "kind of a big deal," "people know me," "I'm very important," and two apparent (possible) upcoming titles, "I have many leather-bound books," and "My apartment smells of rich mahogany" (All from Anchorman)

Dad has somehow hit and/or broken and/or busted a water pipe and now all the water is turned off to the house! I hope it comes back on before he goes to work in three hours. D: I hope he's not attempting to fix it himself. This sounds like the kind of thing you'd need to call someone for, but he hasn't called anyone yet, just stomped around being angry. I don't know what we'll do if we have to go without water all night. I don't think we have any bottled water around here, but I guess we can always buy some. Still, showers are nice, and so are working toilets. D: D: D: Oh well, on to happier things: "The March of the Emperor" - you've gotta see this one. I'm not going to spoil it. Just watch!!! I laughed so hard. EDIT: Oooh he's trying to fix it himself, alright. With duct tape. *headdesk*

Finally getting settled in for real in the room. Now I'm moving on to other organizing things that were on my list -- going through all my misc backup and mix CDs and getting rid of duplicates or stuff I don't need anymore. Yay. Now that I have a MP3 player I don't really need any of these mix CDs anymore. Uuuh, if anyone wants some random samplings of J-Rock, J-pop, Indipop or Bollywood, let me know before I chuck these things. :D In other news: - Thank you to jackuon and racquaon for hosting such an awesome shindig! The food was amazing (or should I say "spagtastic?") and I had a great time hanging out with everyone and listening to bad karaoke songs (doop doop doop doop doop doop doop!). Thanks again, you guys!
- Did some research today and found out that the two Sailormoon artbooks (vol. 5 and Materials Collection) I've had stowed away since the 90s are going on eBay for $140-230 dollars. Each. I am very excited about this. I want to eBay them, but I don't know if I should do Buy It Now for a high set price, or try to auction and see how high it can get. If I do auction, I'm really worried that, even though they're going for around $200 on other auctions, I would be unlucky and someone would get it for a much lower price. I wouldn't know if I should start it for a low price or a high price, either. I saw someone start it for $20 and after a six-day bidding war it was won for $200. I don't know if I should take the chance or what. I have no idea what to do. I don't want to be greedy and then have it bite me in the ass, but on the other hand, if I play my cards right there is big money to be had here.

Holy crap, look what actually exists! I seriously thought I dreamed up this movie or something. I mean, every time I asked someone "Did you ever hear of a movie where they made lots of little Hitlers?" everyone just kind of looked at me like whuuuuuut omg. BUT NO. IT EXISTS. And has Gregory Peck in it, apparently. o.o Anyway, I am totally renting this whenever I get around to getting a Netflix account. Because it's just one of those "I KNEW I WASN'T CRAZY" things. Also, I love the term "Nazi-hunter." It makes me think of either vampire hunters ("Nazi Hunter D?" "Buffy the Nazi Hunter?") or big game hunters (which conjures up all sorts of amusing mental images of Nazi heads mounted on the wall).

Doing a lot of school reading here -- who would have thought! -- and this particular quote from my reading for The Slavic Vampire amused me for reasons I think only a few of you will get: ["Werewolf"] is a Middle English word descended in turn from Old English werwulf... Do I even need to say it? "Paul, you is a werwulf!" While I was looking at the Werewolf stuff on YouTube, I decided I wanted to watch some of those old shorts. I didn't find the ones I was looking for, but I found some particularly awful ones. Man, you have to love the 40s/50s. SO BAD. - MST3K - Posture Pals - Posture is definitely more important than reading or writing or geography. Did my parents really have to put up with this kind of shit?
- MST3K - Are You Ready for Marriage? - These kids are total dumbasses. I thought it was bad enough, but then she's all "We've known each other for three months!" LOL, DUMBASS.
- Duck and Cover - A classic (nay, LEGENDARY) American film. I'd never actually seen the real clip, and god, this is bad. YOU ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!

WOOHOO! I just finished the Sociology webpage! And then I realized that there was a broken link ON EVERY PAGE and I'm going to have to go through and fix all of them. OMFG. D: That will be another day though. I'm pretending it's actually done, LOL. Now all I have to do is revise my first paper, start the second, and the Pepper Center webpage. Oh, and Nano (8K left). His older commercials were famous for him standing on the roof of the building and for having his daughter (?) jump out of appliances shrieking. He has since replaced the daughter with Plaid Dress Woman (my dad randomly hates her because she always wears these plaid dresses and a knee brace). Notable quotes are: SEE IT ALL AND SAVE! IF YOU DIDN'T BUY DIRECT, YOU PAY RETAIL! SAME DAY DELIVERY! and, more recently, I LOVE APPLIANCES. Noteworthy commercial: White Porcelain. Because... yeah.
- Family Auto Mart - aka the Horror of All Horrors. These commercials began when I was in, like 1st or 2nd grade? He frightened us all by doing cartwheels in a hula skirt. It's just... oh god, it's terrible. PLEASE GOD MAKE IT STOP. But you have to watch this to the point where the lady is like "I love my car! WE LOVE THE CAR. ... er, everyone else loves it, too? Yeah, we love the car." She's probably scared for her life.
- Seriously. We central Floridians have to see this shit on TV everyday. Could be why I don't watch TV. Scarred for life.

OMG, I just, by chance, stumbled across the best thing ever on YouTube. Come on, Pirates of the Caribbean fans, you know you want to see Norrington do the Spiderman Dance (or watch the whole thing, which is mainly Sally/Patrick fluffy goo). I'm so glad it's up there; there's no reason for the Spiderman Dance NOT to be on YouTube.

direpenguin finds a Mary Sue in her BJD fandom: I know, it's like, not what I expected from this hobby, lol. I mean, I'm so used to all the emo gay slutty vampires I never saw the Legolas-lovin' marine biologist coming. She also tells me that the newest expansion for The Sims 2 is PETS, and that its creature du jour will be WEREWOLVES, which is good news for me, the omnipotent Sim god, but very bad news for one Mr. Remus J. Lupin sim, who up until this point was enjoying a very laid back and average sort of life. Alas. In other news, these recent YTMNDs rock my socks: That is all. Gotta get back to schoolwork now. D:

Apparently the Battlestar Galactica season 2 soundtrack is out and OMG I am downloading it right now until I can buy it. 65% at the moment. SO EXCITED. Huge update to my YTMND Masterlist. Highlights being: EDIT: OMG, download finished, and OMG, track one is "Colonial Anthem." I know that will make Krysti happy. It sure makes me happy. XD We'll see how I like the rest of the soundtrack. It'll probably be as angsty as season 2 was, so I'm a bit worried. Good start though!
