It's go time!
11:50 am
Yesterday at work was nuts. I was actually pretty okay and calm despite all the craziness going on until like, the last hour, when some guy really hit my PMS button and I was pissed for the rest of the night.
(Note to Mr Very Important -- if your court documents are so Very Important, maybe you should consider NOT PROCRASTINATING TO BRING THEM IN TO GET COPIED UNTIL TWO HOURS BEFORE YOU NEED THEM ARHGHGHGHGHGHGHGHG -- also saying that your stuff was More Important than the other jobs I had in line was Very Annoying and I should have just told you NO but I am a TOOL. :/ At least we got $50 of your cashie monies so there.)
Got up early today and went to the gym with Maria. Did I mention I joined a gym? Crazy right? But it's only $10 a month so it's worth it I think. It takes a lot for me to drag myself out of the bed at 6 AM but it really gives me a lot of energy for the rest of the day.
Did some more Xmas shopping. I'm still not done. I'm glad I have so many friends but wow, it is hard thinking up different ideas for everyone every year!
Also we've finally got the dates pounded out that Krysti is gonna be here and I am SO FREAKING EXCITED. It is going to be AWESOME.
I have a lot to get done this weekend (well, my weekend anyway) but I am totally motivated to do it. It's Amanda vs. Computer: ANNUAL ORGANIZATION AND BACKUP TIME.
EDIT: I swear, every time I am excited about gettin' stuff done, a wild headache approaches. And I lose every time.

hello internets
11:49 am
Man I'm behind in the internets. I did things with friends and look what happens. My flist is backed up to like 200. We had a very nice week at home... dad has been gone since Sunday! It's been pretty amazing. Actually he just walked in the door (like five seconds ago) and is already bitching. Sigh. Back to normal. I mourn the death of this awesome week already. :/
On Tuesday I watched Battle Royale with Sierra and Keith. I had never seen it before and it was pretty amazing.
On Thursday mom went down to Vero to join dad for the night and I was alone in the house! Ooooo! I hung out with Keith and Diane & Dicky who were in town.
Friday I worked for four hours and then it was time for more Diane & Dicky. Went to see fireworks 'cause Diane had a lust for them that could not be sated. There was a drunk lady next to me. And little kids in front of us that kept saying "Get 'er done!" ... about fireworks. As Dicky said, "We have entered a cultural black hole." Were also aiming for an 10:45PM showing of Hancock -- 'cause the most goddamn American thing you can do on the 4th of July is see a Will Smith movie immediately after viewing fireworks, fuck yeah -- but did not make it as it took about an hour to remove ourselves from Cocoa Village. Went to Steak & Shake afterwards where I made an ass of myself by spilling cherry coke all over the place. I can never show my face in that Steak & Shake ever again.
Also last... Thursday? Went to Wet & Wild. It was... as always... both wet and wild. The weather was pretty shitty though, alas. But I did get Dippin' Dots so the day was not a total loss.
Gotta get ready for work, and I'm still not done going through my flist. :/

Watch as Amanda pretends she has a life.
01:21 am
This week has been pretty busy! I'm kind of finally starting to look forward to Christmas... but I always kind of want to get it over with. I know I'm going to cry when I see my credit card bill at the end of the month, LOL.
Monday I took Sara to Merritt Island for Christmas shopping. We ate at Olive Garden and that was pretty awesome. I filled out a few applications at the mall, but only a few since it's so far away from home and I figure if I'm going to be driving 30-45 minutes to work for minimum wage, I want to work at somewhere cool where I can get awesome discounts, like a bookstore or a game store. Oh, we also saw Aimee at her fine place of business and that was great, since I haven't seen Aimee in like five million years. Yay Aimee!
Tuesday I had lunch with Katie, who's back in town from Tallahassee, visiting her parental units. We went to Panera. I hope I can see her again before she leaves. I really miss Katie. She was such a constant in my life during school, even though we got irritated with each other sometimes, and I've got like, a Katie-shaped hole in my life. Woe! Also, I totally forgot to talk to her about Top Model even though I've been dying to.
Wednesday was another day well spent with Sara. She had a Disney pass that expired on the 31st, so we went to Disney World! We went to Magic Kingdom first, which I haven't been to in years, and Epcot later for fooding. We got really wet on Splash Mountain, Sara worse than me. There were a lot of random jokes... somehow we got griffins on the brain, so everything was about griffins and griffin poop and griffins eating faces off, and there was also something about a pipe-smoking centaur named Matthew Smith getting a spongebath, and of course Snape, who this time was a... wheelchair vampire bat/vampiric wheelchair/wheelchairic vampire. Don't ask what that means, because we didn't know either. Eventually it became something like... Tom Cruise with a wheelchair for a body, like a dryder except with wheelchair parts instead of spider parts. Honestly I don't know how such clean-cut kids such as Sara and I can come up with this shit and not be on extensive amounts of drugs or alcohol, and yet we manage to do it.
Thursday was my chill day. I did a lot of cleaning to make up for those past few days. Dad took me to a job fair that wasn't really a job fair... hmm.
Friday I went over to Keith's and Diane and Dicky were down from Virginia, so we all hung out and that was really nice. I was actually talked into playing Rock Band, and even though I played the bass part with the setting on easy, I still sucked. I think my hands aren't big enough, or maybe I would get better with practice. I don't know, really. I lost track of the time and didn't make it home in time to get to go to the "induction ceremony" of our guild (Truly Epic [FAIL] XD) into the EE Alliance. LOL srs guild warz bizness. And THEN it was time to go out again, because the Kuons invited Alex B and I to this restaurant called "Val's European Cafe" which serves Polish food. OMG the sauerkraut was so good. I would seriously go there and just get sauerkraut and be happy. We went to Village Inn for pie afterwords... it seemed like such a good idea at the time but then afterwords it felt like such a bad idea, LOL. Thank you, Jackie and Rachel, for inviting us!!
Saturday I went back to Keith's for a little bit and hung out with Diane and Dicky a little more. And then we went to Jay's party -- I know, I went to a party, can you imagine. There were a few of people I knew there and it wasn't rowdy, so it was more my speed. The food was intense. I wish my relatives had parties like that, LOL. Thank you for inviting me, Jay!
Today we went to Sarah and Worthy's mom's house (can't say Sarah and Worthy's house anymore, heh) for pressie exchange. Then I came home and submitted an application to Books-a-Million in Barnes & Noble and then played an awful lot of Guild Wars -- did some Vanguard rep farming with Sarah and Worthy. Sacnoth Valley is so HUGE. D:
Yeah, so, holy shit, that's more than I usually do in a month!! And I need to go to bed now 'cause it's Christmas Eve tomorrow and thus we have to spend the entire day with relatives...

MATH I RESIST YOU
08:52 pm
Still studying for the GRE. After I got through basic math, things came back to me pretty quickly. Am now through algebra and geometry. To think we spent all those years on that stuff in school! I don't understand factoring equations at all, but if I remember correctly, I always sucked real hard at that in school, too. It's going to be really tough to remember all those geometry formulas without a cheatsheet, though.
Also, hating the setup of the test. A = A is greater, B = B is greater, C = they're equal, D = I don't know wtf is going on so I'm choosing D. What? Whatever happened to A) 58, B) your mom C) ??? D) profit!!
Also, it seems that there are a lot of vocabulary words I'm not familiar with... but I don't really have time for that, so I'm going to have to guess. I didn't study at all for the SAT and I got a pretty good grade... so... whatever. As long as I get over 1000, apparently, I'm good.
Now the real problem is going to be getting to the test site. I don't even know where Maitland is. Orlando... ish? And apparently I-4 is going to be involved. I should have taken this test when I was still in Tallahassee like all of my sensible friends.
Whatever, back to Guild Wars. I'm like 700 rep points away from 26K for armor (but, er, about 15k away money-wise). OH. AND I GOT A BLACK DYE DROP TODAY. MY FIRST EVER. I ALMOST DIED, YOU GUYS.

Random Stuff
09:23 am
- So mom and I have been watching Long Way Round, which is amazing and I recommend it to anyone. It's taking a while to watch it because mom gets home kinda late and then goes to bed early, and in between has a lot of phone calls. >.< We only have two episodes left, though. Watching this is really making me want to go on a road trip across the country. I've always wanted to do it. Just like in a movie, you know? I need to do this one day. Just take a couple of weeks and drive to California one way -- like through the southwest -- and then back, through the best bits in the northwest. I need to do this. D: In the meantime, I'll just beef up my ipod playlists in the hopes that one day I will be able to do this. :/
- Poor dad. It hasn't really rained here in weeks. This morning he starts painting the porch, and just as soon as he finishes -- total downpour.
- I forgot to mention that on Father's Day we went down to the jetty at Cocoa Beach and watched people fish before walking down the beach a ways. The jetty was really cool because there were lots of sea turtles just chilling out by the rocks! For some reason I didn't think sea turtles came so close to the shore, but they were eating dropped bait and stuff (kind of scary -- I hope no one has caught a sea turtle :/). There were lots of little ones and we were all very impressed until we looked over to the side and there was this giant KING OF ALL SEA TURTLES just kind of chilling out in the water. It was as big as a tire, like, a redneck truck tire. Oh, we also saw a barracuda chilling out in the water as well, which is frightening because I always thought of those being further out to sea, too. And like right on the other side of the jetty are people playing in the water. So I'm definitely not going in the water ever again. As if crabs and stingrays and jellyfish and sharks weren't bad enough, now I have to worry about barracudas as well. Besides that, it was a lovely day for the beach -- unfortunately, soooooo much better than the day Amanda and I went to Playalinda beach -- Amanda, if you ever come here again, we're going to Cocoa Beach instead, even though there are lots more people. :/ Except I'm not getting in the goddamn water because APPARENTLY THERE ARE BARRACUDAS.
Anyway, got stuff to do, so off I go...

Amanda: I'm waitin' for the bus! Got an hour till class! Waitin' for the bus! Amanda: ... Amanda: I'm still waiting for the bus! Amanda: Dum de dum dum! Oh look, I have a message on my phone. I'll listen to that when I get to class, because right now I am groovin' to my headphones. Dance dance dance. I'm a lonely nerd at a bus stop. Bus: I am the bus! Amanda: And so you are! Huzzah! Bus: And here is your stop, at the complete opposite side of campus. Amanda: Yay! I have extra time, so I'm going to go to Circle K. Delicious soda, how I love you. Amanda: Now it's time to check my message! I wonder what it could be? Message: Hi Amanda, this is Franchy. I know you don't check your email often so I just wanted to let you know that he just sent us out an email that he's cancelling class for today. Amanda: D: Amanda: Nuuuuuu! Amanda: Well... I guess I have to walk home... I have this drink, so I can't get on the bus. Oh well. No harm in exercise. Florida: rain lol Amanda: D: Amanda: Well, at least it's overcast? Florida: sunshower lol Amanda: WTF! FSU Sidewalks: We are heated! Do you like saunas? Amanda: I'M SLAIN. :(
However, I had a nice shower and have finished my paper! All is well in the world.

Friends, Romans, f-list! Lend me your ears!
10:13 pm
- Have been away from the internet for nearly two whole days, but have returned to find that Host Club 11 is finally out. OMFGGGGG. It's downloading, but of course I'm up at school so it's... down... load... ing. OMFG HURRY UP. I need
crack Host Club!
- Oh, BTW, I'm back to school a day early! I had to pack EVERYTHING Saturday morning and get it out of my room for company. I figured, if it's packed and ready to go, why not just leave early rather than be pestered about people in my room? So here I am.
- Drive mainly uneventful. An old lady coughed on me in line at Dunkin' Doughnuts (wtf! cover your mouth, hor!) and I accidently left a water I had just bought at the little napkin & straw station there. Ugh.
- Apparently I have lured Krysti with tales of
more crack Guild Wars. WOOHOO. I haven't played for EONS two days. I've almost missed the scorpions. We were becoming good friends, the scorpions and I.
- I'm randomly craving green beans. I may make some with chicken tomorrow. Hmm.
- I'm strangely hyperactive. HEHEHEHEHEHE.
EDIT: OMFG, apparently Kyou Kara Maou 67 is out as well!!! Is this my lucky day or what? Man, what a good end to a day of driving, lugging suitcases up stairs, grocery shopping, and unpacking. Huzzah!

Things that make a happy Amanda: - Yesterday I finally cleaned out my poor email. Am so glad that's done.
- Went to the grocery store and bought various foodstuffs I had been craving, including a breakfast skillet, voila, and Lipton teriyaki noodles. Made teriyaki noodles for lunch and they were delicious.
- 1 1/2 hour nap.
- Went to Tar-jhey and they are having a TV BOX SET SALE OF HAPPINESS. Seriously. Go to your local Target NOW because OMFG. A lot of shows were 23 dollars each or cheaper, and holy shit. I gave in and bought myself the three box sets of Family Guy, because when else are they going to be this low? Now I own Family Guy and I can finally get caught up and YAYE. All of The Simpsons was also on sale but, yeah, I don't have that much money.
- Episode 9 of Host Club is out. OMG YAYE. I have SO MUCH LOVE FOR HOST CLUB.
- HOST CLUB!!!
Also, congrats to Sara aka direpenguin on the arrival of one Mr. Teronicus. XD

Hey there, world.
06:54 pm
I am so sleepy. So, so sleepy. We have no caffinated beverages (Root Beer, orange soda, and caffiene-free Pepsi). Normally I wouldn't mind (in fact, I'm the one that asks for them), but today I woke up really early and I refuse to take naps (I always wake up more sleepy and fuzzy that I was when I first went down -- and I hate losing time!). I have convinced mom into getting fast food tonight just so that I can acquire a caffinated beverage of some sort. Hmm. Haven't been doing much lately, while at the same time doing a lot, if that makes sense. I'm mainly sitting around my room, working on the Sociology webpage or copying all of my LJ entries (which takes surprisingly longer than you'd imagine -- I'm only to March 2004 now! -- but I don't want to lose them if something horrible ever happens to LJ), occasionally running errands here and there when it's required of me. Tried bathing-suit shopping and that was a complete and utter failure, not to mention I made mom mad at me because clothes shopping really gets me bitching. Being short, thin, squat, and funny-shaped (apparently I have a "petite figure" according to mom, but to me it looks like someone took a normal person, put their hands on the person's head and feet, and pressed together -- I HAVE NO LEGS), it's hard for me to find clothes like pants. Bathing suits are a completely different story. At least pants exist. This new "mix-and-match" craze is complete bullshit. Instead of just having to work to find a bathing suit that fits, one now has to find a top that fits and then find a seperate bottom that fits (of course they don't sell the pieces together anymore!). Once I'd find a top that fit and that I liked, it was completely impossible to find a bottom that fit. Apparently people who are size 2-4 shouldn't be wearing bikini-bottoms -- oh, no, bikini-bottoms are for sizes 10-16 only, according to JC Penny! Basically this was my whole line of thought while we were in JC Penny, and it all came out my mouth. Unsurprisingly, mom wanted to kill me. I don't blame her. Today I went over to Ye Olde Mark Erdmann Toyata, which I swore never to return to after the Security System Incident. I got stuck in Merritt Island traffic and was only 10 minutes late to my 8:00 appointment. I got out at like 10:45. Ugh. Went to the mall to do some Parental Day shopping and then went to B&N to do some Amanda shopping (I cannot resist the sweet siren call that is books). Also, forgot to say that my grades came out: Myth Seminar: A Anthropology of Film: A 19th c. American Lit: A- Age of Alexander: A English Seminar (Bollywood & HK Cinema): A- I'm really surprised in the two A-s. Surprised that I actually managed to get one in the English Seminar of DOOM, and surprised that it wasn't a full A in American Lit? Meh? I thought I was doing well in that class! Maybe my final essays weren't so hot. Dunno. Anyway. I'm going to pretend it's all full As (stupid minuses, ruining my GPA). Anyway. Two hours later, I finish this post and have got my caffeine. Huzzah. EDIT: YTMND Master List updated, as well as the MP3 rotation thingus.

Naptime = good.
03:35 pm
I just woke up from a three-hour nap!! I woke up at 6:30 this morning to follow Katie to the car dealership at 7:00. Then got home and cleaned cleaned cleaned. After that, the girl from class came over and we watched Main Hoon Na. All of this was done at 11:30 AM!! So I ate and then took my nap. I slept from 12:00 - 3:00! I slept with earplugs in since the boys next door are having a jamboree over there or something (they still are, grrr... hopefully they'll have SHUT UP by the time Krysti comes over).
Anyway, apparently the Royal Properties people came in a whole bunch of times when I was napping (Katie was here). When I woke up, they came a few minutes later, and were like, "You're up from your nap!" I felt kind of bad because they couldn't show my room when I was doing so and my room is like half of the apartment, but... this is the first time this has happened (I rarely take naps).
Anyway, I had this dream that my mom was up in Tallahassee to visit (with Amanda K!) and hijacked a bus. There was this really cool action scene where I was running on the sidewalk and mom opened the bus doors to let me on (while she was still moving). I jumped on and then mom swerved in front of an oncoming firetruck and then made a left turn on a red light (I don't know which was worse)! Then she drove the bus to some memorial gardens that I guess we just had to get to. Um. Yeah. It was special but my mom is so cool. *presents mom with a life-size gold statue of Keanu Reeves*

So yeah.
08:46 pm
So, yeah, I think I've got pretty much everything finished here. The room looks really good, especially the new curtains. I've got to decide which posters I want up (the only problem with having the room looking this nice is that I don't want to trash it up with posters) and that's about it.
Now I just have to catch up on all the stuff I've neglected because of moving. I need to somehow download my entire webpage so that I have a copy of it on my harddrive before anything happens to it. I need to call the Iomega people because they still haven't sent my zip drive back. I need to balance my checkbooks and organize some drawers (I suppose I can dedicate next weekend to all that organizing). I would say I need to update my webpage but I've pretty much given up on that. I've given up on most of the stuff that involved those zip disks. I tried to start my conlang's basic grammar again, but it's just not working (if I ever happened to email anyone that stuff, and if you still happen to have it on your computer, I'd really appreciate a copy).
Today was the first day of summer school. My first day of summer school EVAR. I mean, all it was was Latin III at 9:30, and tomorrow I have an English class. But in Latin III we're just going to jump right in to translating. No reviewing. I'm going to have to do that on my own time, I guess.
Oh, and yesterday I went and saw Kingdom of Heaven with mom and Krysti. It was decent. I was expecting it to be kind of crap, but I actually liked it. The soundtrack was gorgeous. And it had Dr. Bashir in it, LOL.

My internet is being a total ass. It's up, it's down. It's up, it's down. Let's see if I can post this. 1) Finally got my Linguistics exam out of the way. It was terrible, but I was mostly able to remember and rewrite the essays I prepared last night. Came out to about seven pages (back and front) handwritten. Ouchie. Took me two hours. But it's done! Never again, bad Linguistics class! 2) Helped Krysti move some shiz over here. She's going to move the rest tomorrow, and then Saturday I will move across the street. Hooray! Now it feels like the end of school, since we're doing all this moving! It was hot outside, though. Summer is here. Yuck. 3) Returned my books and only got $49 dollars. What a rip off, but I guess almost-fifty-dollars is better than anything. Hmm. Still, though. The Geology book was $60 alone. Pbbhhhpg. 4) This is fantastically wonderful, this is amusing, and this is freakin' scary. The Republic of Gilead! AIIIEEE!

Sims. Sims. Also, sims.
11:48 am
Woohoo! I haven't been doing much lately, because mom got Sims 2 to work, OMG, so my entire life is gone now. I had a great time with mom this weekend, though. Friday she arrived and we split a sub. She brought me a really nice necklace and ring as a valentine's gift. Edible goods would have been fine, but apparently they were on sale at Kay's, so I suppose I shouldn't feel too guilty. Saturday we did my laundry and a few other meaningless errands. Then we went to Governor's Square 'cause mom had never been there before and just kind of browsed. We spent a lot of time in Yankee Candle just sniffing stuff. I'd never really been fond of Yankee Candle, but they have some new "fresh" scents out now that are really nice, like Fresh Linen and Spring Rain (or something like that). Plus the smell really gets around. I've been burning the Fresh Linen candle out in the front room, and it's really helping to reduce the Apartment Funk (which I guess would be the combination of the personal human smell of two girls and their favorite scents as well as whatever has been cooked that day). Also went to Best Buy, and mom bought me a CD as well as this neat little cooly thingy for my laptop which is working really well, although it is one more cord to add to the Great Mass of Cords (really wish there was something I could do about that, but I'm doing the best possible). Went to Outback for lunch/dinner. Had steak and fries, but was a good girl and got steamed vegetables as well. Later, mom totally installed like every update for any program or device on my computer EVER. And ta da, OMFG THE SIMS 2 WORKS ASKJSDJIJF. Yesterday mom got up and left pretty early and I just went back to sleep after sending her off. Then I woke up and played with my Sims. And played some more. And played some more. ( Blah blah, Sims, blah blah, pancakes. )

It's lovely today.
03:54 pm
I'm in a wonderful mood today. The weather outside is amazing. It's not too hot, but it's not too cold. If I lived somewhere where the weather was actually consistant (aka not Florida), I would say it's springish weather. Very nice. The birds are all singing.
Last night I got a call from Josh that he was going to christen his new grill with a barbeque. So of course I couldn't say no to that. I went over and hung out after my class at 5:00. Josh fired up the grill and cooked burgers around 6:00. Everything was really good. Afterwards we toasted marshmallows. Very good. I lit a few on fire. Then we lit cheetos on fire. It's true what they say; they burst into high flames! Unfortunately, I really had to study for my test, so Katie dropped me off at home around 8:00. I then proceeded to bust my ass until about 12:30, when I finally went to bed. So I didn't get as much sleep as I wanted, and I've been sleepy in class all day, but hey.
The feared Egypt test went well!! I was really surprised. There were a few locations I got wrong, but I got all of the Dynasties right as far as I know. And I knew what everything was! So that's a really good way to start out the day. Went to Linguistics and that was soooo boring and I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open, but he gave back that homework that I spent like three hours on, and I got an A. XD We didn't even really have Geology today. Went and Doctor Hu went over our last test and then let us go. That was the test that I just knew I had to have gotten a 70-something on, but I actually got an A. WTF wow. I don't know how that happened, but hooray anyway!
Walked back home and it was just gorgeous. I was listening to music on my DJ and there was no one around so I was enjoying myself. I walked up the stairs, and there were these two dudes hanging outside the (open) door of the girl next door drinking (great), and they yelled "Shake it, baby!" at me. I don't know what else they said because I had my headphones on, but they were laughing at me and I was doing my best to hustle it in the house. Stupid boys! They have to ruin everything. But now I'm inside with the windows open, and the birds are still singing, and I can almost pretend that I'm back home sitting on my swing.

An action-packed day.
01:56 pm
Yesterday was interesting. I got absolutely nothing done, but you know, who the hell cares, really? I'm just so glad to be done with my reading that my mood is just "eh" lately.
Woke up at 10:00 and picked up Krysti at 10:30. We went to the grocery store and got some goodies and subs for lunch, and then came back and ate and watched Spiderman 2. Then I put in Star Wars: Battlefront and let Krysti go crazy (last time we were going to play, but I started out, then Krysti went over to Amanda's room and never got to play, so I was making up for it XD). She's gotten really good at the controls! At first she couldn't really look around well, but she picked up really fast and was kicking ass.
Around 4:00 Josh called and asked us out to dinner with his parents. They actually bought for all of us. I tried to aim for one of the cheaper items on the list, LOL. I was really craving steak (gonna have to convince mom to go to Outback when she's up next weekend), but I got a nice stir-fry. It was a little too spicy for me, but it was good! Krysti and I were planning on renting Star Trek: First Contact and watching that at a later date, but when Katie and Josh found out, they wanted to watch, too. So we rented First Contact, and I also brought The Village and we watched that on Josh's big projector.
I didn't get home till 3:00 AM, and I had hung out with Krysti for over twelve hours! WOW. It's like a record in friending.

ASIJSDFHDFHJUDF. I found Bollywood clips. They're super bad quality, and half of them are like "Ha ha ha, log in as a member" (it's not letting me see anything from Main Hoon Na *kicks it*), but still, I'll take what I can get. Eh. If only I didn't have this paper to write, I would love to explore this site. ... LOL rhymez0rz! I cleaned the hell out of this place and now have all the windows open (even though it's cold) to air out the lasagna smell from this morning (long story -- Amanda was nice and offered to warm up lasagna for one of her friends, but it turned into this big thing and Amanda had to play truant on her film school duties for about an hour -- which I really hope she didn't get in trouble for -- and I drove the lasagna to its destination so she could get back, and unfortunately everything smells like lasagna now -- the apartment, my car, the clothes I was wearing at the time). It's pretty chilly outside, and the kind of windy where the blinds beat the window and the door slams a lot, but I put a sweater on. The birds are chirping again, and I can hear a mourning dove. It's nice. I'll take any nice, quiet period without someone else's music blaring that I can get. :) EDIT: Aw, I hate it when there's a song that you really like, and you think it's so pretty and can only imagine how pretty the dancing must be for it... but then it turns out to be something really goofy. Kind of like "Chalak Chalak" in Devdas. Okay, well, of course I went to check out "Raghupati Raghav" from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Big disappointment. It was all these weird hippies irritating Shah Rukh Khan. My imagination did a much better job for this song. Will pretend I never saw the movie clip.

10:15 pm
Wow, I haven't gotten to write much lately. I haven't really gotten to do anything but read lately, but you know, that's my own fault. Still, no matter how much mom tells me to OMGSTOPIT, I'm like, "No! I've planned out my to-do list for the next month! I must finish my allotment for the day!" ... even though my allotment usually takes me till midnight to finish. So, needless to say, I haven't been sleeping well lately. I finally finished "early" today, so I get to go to sleep soon. Just a little more browsing on the internet, and then I have to set up something to record for Amanda, and then, sweet, sweet sleep. ( My days lately have been mostly like this. ) So I had my second Geology lab yesterday, the first one in which we were going to be doing work in the lab, and it was all okay, except one of the girls at my table was a total and complete bitch. I mean, wow. I have never seen someone act so rude to people she had never met before. Saying things like, "Give me that," "Put that up for me," "Duh!" She was basically ordering all of us around and bitching at us if she thought what we offered up was wrong. And it wasn't even supposed to be a group project, but everyone was working together anyway and helping each other out. All the other girls at the table were nice, but damn. I finally got tired of her shit and tried to work ahead and figure things out for my own, and she bitched at me. WTF. God, I hope she doesn't sit at our table next time, but I'm sure she will. I at least hope she's not next to me. Maybe she had mental problems or something, because I still can't believe that someone would just be that rude. :P Okay, definitely ready to go to bed now. Only have fifteen more minutes till I Love the 90s is over and I can switch my and Amanda's tapes out. Bed's going to feel sooooo good tonight (that's always a nice feeling, anyway). I almost fell asleep several times today. Not cool, but my fault for staying up till midnight reading about some Egyptian dude whose name I can't remember at the moment.

Home again.
02:14 pm
Whee! Home again. Flight was uneventful. Woke up at 4:00 AM. Katie was so nice to come pick me up at such an awful hour in the morning, and Josh was there, too, and he gave me a cinnamon bun he had made that morning. I was really surprised at his thoughtfulness. Here I was bitching yesterday about the surprising lack of kind and thoughtful people in today's society, and Josh gives me a cinammon bun that he made at 4:00 in the morning. There is hope for humanity yet. Last year I thought Josh really didn't like me, but he's actually been a really nice guy this year. Josh and Katie are super people. :) I need to think of a nice way of paying them back for going out of their way for me this morning. <3
So yeah. Airplane. It was a jet... but it was like... the special kind. The kind where you have to actually walk out to the plane and up the steps. Something new for me. Only two seats, and aisle, and another seat. Surprisingly large windows for such a tiny plane, although I couldn't see anything outside because the weather was total crap. The plane left 15 minutes late, and so I didn't get in till about 7:10 or so. Frowny face. Also, at the Tallahassee airport, when I went through security, I got picked for super-screening! I guess I had already been randomly picked when I bought my ticket, but still. How embarassing. She had to wave the magic wand all over me, and then they went through my bags. Why do they always go through my bags when I've got personal things sitting right on top? Argh. "Oh, I don't know how those tattered baby blankets managed to get into my bag. And this box of tampons isn't mine, no! Certainly not, sir!"
Managed to get out of the Orlando airport and find dad. New truck! We have a new truck. Like, so new it smells new. And features! It has features! IT HAS HEATED SEATS OMG. I was cramping pretty bad and thinking, "Man, can't wait to get home and get that heating pad..." and as if it read my mind, the seat started heating up. Heated seats are like... the best invention ever. And it has a six-disc MP3 player. Wow. That thing is The Shit.
Got home, was extraordinarily crampy and sick, tried to sleep but mostly moaned a lot, got up at 11:00 or so and remembered that I can take pills for this type of thing. Hello, Alice. Am much better now. Also, we went to get my car. XDDDD It's shiny again! And they detailed it, so the inside is all vacuummed and dust-free. XD Of course, it's all rainy and crap so whatever washing they did on the outside is ruined, but still. Also, our street flooded, as Amanda N. would say, "like woah." No other way to describe it. I wish I was a little kid again, because I would totally go play in it right now. But instead I'm all old and all I can think of is "It's cold, and I don't want to get worms." Dude, what's wrong with me? Nothing more fun than a ton of water in the street that's up to your shins.

Floorspace!!
06:15 pm
*wades through like fifteen pages of f-list stuff* This is all metaquotes' fault. Anyway, finally home! It's so good to be home! My room is so green and pretty, and I have my lights and mini-Christmas tree and Christmas tree scented candle on and the kitty is here and it's finally cold outside and omg yaye. Yesterday was the busiest day ever. Woke up at 5:30, picked up Krysti at 6:30 and took her to the airport, got home by 12:30, went to the hall mall for shopping, went to MeMe's for mom to fix her computer (I fell asleep on the couch, I was so tired), went to Cracker Barrel for dinner with Mrs. S (ham and green beans and apples and omg I was in my happy place), got home and started randomly moving my room around. Got to bed around 10:00. Died from exhaustion. Originally we were going to take out the big desk and switch it out for the little desk in the guest room (since mom has a huge computer now and I have a laptop), but then I decided that my bookcase would look a lot nicer where the desk used to be, plus I would then be able to open both closet doors all the way (it's a miracle). Also, put my bed on risers and moved up it against the wall. I've never had my bed this way before because it would be really hard to make, but oh well. Moving my bed gave me actually... wow, floorspace. Something I haven't had since I had a day bed when I was little. My room is no longer a tightly-packed square with a bed in it! We were also able to move the second nightstand in here. Bwahaha! All of my furniture is returned to me! This morning we went to Staples and got a laptop desk. It's really awesome. I just pull it up to my bed and do my thing, and it's so tiny. It's not very pretty, but whatever; it saves space and I am pleased. Also I can just take the laptop off and use it as a writing table whenever I want. So cool. And omg floorspace. *looks at it* It's amazing. In other news, hungry. Need food. Dad not getting home fast enough; chicken smelling mighty fine.

Mmm, holiday weekend.
12:41 pm
So, my holiday weekend went thusly: Thursday - Thanksgiving, of course, at MeMe and PopPa's. Unfortunately, I have never been one to overly stuff myself, even at Thanksgiving. I could only eat my first helping. Really sad, as it was all very good. Especially the green beans. MeMe made green beans with ham, which I've never seen her make before, and it was divine, as I am a big fan of green beans and ham, and especially green beans with ham. Friday - Had leftover turkey on a bagel for breakfast. Went over to visit spamsama and cybra2003, both of whom I haven't seen in for-EV-er... Sarah and I wrestled with my original trilogy bonus disc, trying to see the bloopers easter egg that Amanda N. had informed me about. Finally, we gave up and I showed her Wedge on Hornblower. Then we watched Queen of the Damned, and finally sat down for the long haul and watched Devdas (her parents were working on a puzzle in the living room and giggled through the whole thing). Went home. Wrestled with Star Wars bonus disk again, this time with mom. FINALLY got it to work. It was pretty amusing. :) Went to Blockbuster and rented Harry Potter and The Day After Tomorrow to watch with parental units. Also, my presents for my FSU homies came in the mail, along with the Bollywood workout DVD. LOL. Saturday - Wrapped presents. Made fudge with mom (well, rather, helped mom make fudge). Still need to: wash car, go to bank, get gas. Will be going with Sara and Fizzle to see that Johnny Depp movie around 3:30 at Waterford Lakes. Mom gave me this awesome candle that smells like apple cider. :) Also, I stole a garland from one of our Christmas decorations (mom had them all up when I got home Wednesday, and since no one but the cat was there when I arrived, this prompted me to bounce around the house like a five-year-old squeeing, "It's Christmas! It's Christmas!! BUSTER, IT'S CHRISTMAS!" Buster was not amused.) and I'm going to wrap it around the candle to make a nice table centerpiece for the apartment. It's the least I can do, decorations-wise. No room for a little tree, sadly. Oh, and big big big congrats to juleskicks for finishing her NaNo project! Huzzah to you!
